Prayers to Heaven & Peace on Earth is the twenty-first episode of the anime series Gun X Sword. It originally aired on the 22nd of November, 2005. It is the first episode of the 6th Volume: Lost Prayers.
Synopsis[]
"There were so many times when I thought to myself, what am I doing here? I mean, my brother had gone so far away, and I was pretty much useless when it came to fighting. But despite all that, or maybe because of it, I just decided to hold on no matter what. In the end, I decided the danger of battle was a lot less scary than letting fate just sweep me away." - Wendy
Fasalina fends of Van to allow Michael's launch into orbit go uninterrupted.
Plot[]
Van summons Dann of Thursday after Fasalina calls forth Dahlia of Wednesday, shown as the fourth armor of the Original Seven, and the two begin to fight.
The other protagonists head inside the Hoverbase, with Joshua moving the base to a safer location. Wendy, Carmen 99 and Priscilla decide to scout out in the forest.
Fasalina and Van face off, with Van quickly realizing that Fasalina is unlike any of the other members of the Original Seven he has faced. The El Dorado prepare to help Van, but first have to sort the El Dora Soul out with help from Yukiko and Joshua.
Meanwhile, Michael is preparing to launch himself to the moon using Saudade of Sunday. The Claw initiates the launch.
As they scout ahead in the Tonda accompanied by Brownie, Priscilla mentions her feelings for Van to Wendy and Carmen. Before they can react though, they are suddenly attacked by 101 Armors. Priscilla uses Brownie to fight the 101s, allowing Carmen & Wendy to escape.
Van finds himself subdued by Fasalina, who tries to convince him to join The Original Seven. Van refuses, and manages to injure her, ready to striker her down. However, The El Dorado Five intervene, knocking Fasalina aside, effectively saving her accidentally. Fasalina detects another armor in the vicinity, and fears for Michael's launch. She escapes Van and the El Dorado Five in order to stop the threat.
Ray prepares to snipe Michael during the launching sequence, using Volkein's pulse cannon. However Fasalina prevents this, and uses Dahlia's guns to destroy Ray's cannon & cripple Volkein. Michael is able to launch into orbit safely.
In space, Michael destroys the satellite base of Dann of Thursday, shutting down its functions. This leaves Van in a dire state, as his life is directly connected to Dann, meaning if Dann cannot heal in his satellite base, then Van will die.
Carmen, Priscilla and Wendy check out the nearby base, which has been abandoned. Wendy then finds an active intercom, from which she speaks with The Claw, who asks to meet with her.
Continuity[]
- Michael is sent into space piloting Saudade. From there, he will help finalize The Claw's plan.
- Fasalina causes damage to Volkien, specifically destroying it's pulse cannon. This information was sent to her via Melissa.
- Priscilla's feelings for Van are fully revealed in this episode.
- With Saudade destroying Dann's satellite, Dann can no longer be controlled or regenerate. This also means that Van's vitality will slowly begin to fade as he needs to pilot Dann in order to maintain his life.
- Carmen, Wendy & Priscilla find The Claw's facility abandoned.
- The Claw contacts Wendy at the facility, and they arrange to meet.

"Now now, leave that be. Just behave! I know what you're thinking. You can't move now, hurts doesn't it? Oh I know it must be soooo agonizing! And to think all this pain and suffering for no reason!"
- Fasalina taunts Van
El Dorado Five: "Close call there! But I reckon everything will be ok now that we're here! Don't think we'll go easy you just cuz you're a woman!"
Fasalina: "Thank you, I was in trouble for a moment there."
- The El Dorado Five accidentally save Fasalina from Van's attack.
"Michael, for the sake of our comrade's dream, his followers dream... My dream... I'll see you into orbit I promise! Yes, that is why I still live! And how I will cleanse my disgrace!"
- Fasalina heads to rescue Michael
Carmen: "What is that?!"
Wendy: "Michael..."
- Carmen and Wendy see Michael launch into orbit.
The Claw: "Wendy! What an unexpected surprise! This is perfect! As a matter of fact aside from my message there is something I'd like to ask you specifically."
Wendy: "Me?!"
The Claw: "That's right Wendy, I was wondering if..."
Wendy: "Yes?"
The Claw: "...you would go, on a date, with me..."
- The Claw asks to meet with Wendy.
