Electric Fireworks is the sixteenth episode of the anime Gun X Sword. It first aired on the 18th of October, 2005. It is the final episode in the fourth volume: Fallen Knights.
Synopsis[]
"Back when Van and I first met, I saw him as a hero.The hero who saved my town. After we traveled together for a while though, I began to see how thoughtless and irresponsible her could be. But that night, I saw Van stripped bare. with nothing left to hide. And seeing him lying there, I realized just how precious he was to me." - Wendy
Utterly defeated by Woo, Wendy helps Van recover in the nearby town but soon falls ill herself. Desperate to save her and stop Woo, Van must overcome a new challenge in order to become stronger.
Plot[]
Van is left lying on the ground in his armor, with Woo announcing to him that he has three days to leave this land.
Woo goes back to his castle and declares to the portrait of his mother that he plans to kill Van on the anniversary of her death.
Meanwhile, Wendy is nursing Van back to health, but as soon as he wakes up, she catches a fever and Van has to take care of her.
Van spends his days shaken up about his upcoming battle with Woo. Van remembers when Gadved had first given him a hexagonal puzzle, as well as how he had loved Elena in the past.
As the dawn of the third day approaches, Van is on the brink of giving up and running away from his fight. However, one more reflection on his love for Elena might be just what he needs to win the match. He manages to unlock the puzzle, which allows him access to a new ability for Dann - a shield. This allows him to best Woo and defeat him.

- Van recalls the times he met Gadved & Elena. These memories also reveal the start of Van & Elena's relationship.
- In order to best Woo, Van solves his puzzle - unlocking Dann's shield ability.
- Woo's past implies that his father is actually The Claw.
- Woo is killed by Van. Metsa of Tuesday is also destroyed in the process.
- The Claw and Michael learn of Woo's death after his defeat by Van.
- Wendy & Van end up taking care of each other, similar to how they did in And the Rain Kept Falling.

Van: "Dunno. Make it transform and run it around."
Gadved: "Hahaha! You're just like a little kid!"
- Van recalls when Gadved gave him his puzzle.
"I know that you'll be waiting for me when I've learned to love to love my father, that's why now, for the sake of my duty, I bid you farewell, mother."
- Woo destroys the painting of his mother.
Van: "We can't afford to be sitting around here wasting time! Lets get moving."
Wendy: "Go ahead, leave me here and go on ahead."
Van: "What are you..."
Wendy: "You're not fooling anybody okay?! If you're gonna run away do it on your own!"
- Wendy can tell Van is distracted and afraid of Woo
"I've been on my own ever since I was born. I dunno who my parents were, or what they were like. All I ever thought about was my next meal, and for me, money and strength was the way to get it. For me, the world was simple, until I met Elena. We came together by chance. I was just supposed to be working with her.... Supposed to be. But she was... Always so kind to me. Until then people had always beaten, kicked and spit on me. But when they did I always got back up and beat the living hell outta them. That's all other people ever were to me. And in spite of that, Elena took me by the hand. And it wasn't until then that I realized how miserable I had always been. And I... I thought that she could change me. It was through her I met Gadved. I loved Elena.... I REALLY loved her! I really did. The only thing I wanted was to be with her. She told me we could be together, that she would live with me. But that never happened. I wasn't able to protect her. I had found the most precious thing in the world."
- Van confides in Wendy his past with Elena.
Elena: "You know, you can drop the act."
Van: "What act?"
Elena: "Really you're not fooling anybody. Come on you're glad to be riding Dann again aren't you?"
Van: "That's... ridiculous!"
Elena: "You try to hide your feelings anytime you get close to someone. Why don't you try being a little more honest? Who knows? you might like the change.
Van: "It's too late for me to change now."
Elena: "Please, don't be silly. I'll help you."
- In a flashback, Elena offers to help Van open up emotionally.
"Impossible, how can this happen to me? I mustn't! I mustn't shed this blood without reason! This blood! I offer it all to him! All for him! All for him! All for him! ALL FOR YOU FATHER!"
- Woo's last words.
